Every year in June, a Call is published for applicants, who wish to enroll to the first year of the School.

30 places are available: 8 for Humanities, 8 for Social Sciences and 14 for Natural Sciences. Students of any nationality can apply.

Candidates can participate to the selection, on the condition that:

- they have just been awarded a high school diploma, or a high school equivalency certificate;

- they aren’t 22 years old yet, before the application deadline;

- they are going to enroll - for the first time - to the first year in a 3-year program towards the Bachelor Degree (1st cycle, in Italian Laurea Triennale) or in a 5-year Single Cycle Degree (in Italian, Laurea a Ciclo Unico).

The selection to the Galilean School consists of 2 written and 2 oral tests, which are held in September:

- For the candidates who have chosen the Class of Moral Sciences in the application form, the 1st written test is Italian literature for all Italian citizens, while the 2nd written test may be chosen (in the application form) among Greek, Latin, Philosophy, History and History of Art. - For the candidates who have chosen the Class of Natural Sciences in the application form, the 1st written test is Mathematical and Scientific Ability, while the second written test may be chosen (in the application form) among Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.
